Crews of the Caspian Flotilla ships conducted damage control exercises in Kaspiysk, the head of the press service of the Southern Military District, Vadim Astafiev, reported.
According to him, the drills were to reveal the readiness of the sailors to repair the ship holes below the waterline.
The emergency teams worked out the procedure of repairing a hole and pumping out the incoming water.
